Glass Furnace
The work of O FELIZ Metalomecânica consisted in provided precision metallic structures to support a glass furnace, namely the structures Gas Flues, Support Structure, Melter-Refiner, Ports, Regenerators, Waist-Working End, Canal and Tin Bath Steelwork. Using precision machinery processes, we were able to ensure all the customer’s dimensional requirements.
Overall, we used standard profiles, as well as sheets with thicknesses between 3 and 100 mm, processed by laser cutting, plasma cutting and oxycutting.
The manufacturing process took 3 months of continuous work, using tubular wires (138) and submerged arc (121) welding processes.
The surface treatment process consisted of stripping with grade Sa 2½ and applying acrylic-silicon enamel with high temperature resistant aluminium.
